Chris has over 20 years’ experience in advising clients on and arranging project and structured finance transaction with an emphasis on resources, infrastructure and property sectors. Advice has encompassed commercial and strategic advice, financial and tax effective structuring, and equity and debt raising in projects ranging from export coal mines, oil and gas fields, gas pipelines, power stations, water treatment plants, railways, airports, through to commercial and residential property developments. Prior to joining Origin, Chris was Director Inres Corporate Finance, Director Infrastructure and Project Finance, National Australia Bank; and Vice President Project and Structured Finance, Bankers Trust.

At Origin, Chris specialises in infrastructure and resource transactions.

Major roles have included:

  • PNG Ports: Advice in respect of financing program;
  • National Gas Corporation PNG: Advice in respect of the PNG LNG project;
  • Lend Lease Syndicate: Structured and arranged $220m for Prospect Water Treatment Plant;
  • Multiplex/Walker: Arranged $230m for Woolloomooloo Wharf Property Development;
  • OilSearch/Ampolex: Arranged US$325m for Kutubu Oil Project;
  • Goninans: Advised on $300m BOOT locomotive project financing; and
  • Orica: Structured and arranged a leveraged operating lease facility for an LPG carrier.

Chris has also advised a number of other clients including AMP, ABB, AES Transpower, Downer, East Australian Pipeline, Landcom, Lyonnaise des Eaux, Leighton, McMahon, Nova Gas, Orix, P&O,
Singapore Power, Southern Electric International, Stockland, and Transfield.
