Peter is one of the founding directors of Origin and has over 25 years’ experience advising clients on a variety of assignments including private treaty acquisitions and divestments, corporate valuations, listed company takeovers and takeover defence and acquisition finance.
At Origin, Peter specialises in food & agribusiness.

Major roles have included:

The joint Graincorp / Gardner Smith acquisition of Goodman Fielder’s Integro business, the long term supply agreement between Suncorp and Goodman Fielder and the sale of Gardner Smith to GrainCorp;
Graincorp’s establishment of Bulk Terminals Australia, acquisition of Grainco Australia and divestment of its 50% interest in Australia Bulk Alliance to Sumitomo;
Outsourcing of retail margarine manufacture and sale of non-retail margarine and oils brands for Unilever;
Queensland Sugar’s negotiation of its price and terms of access to bulk sugar terminals owned by Sugar Terminals Limited;
Norco Cooperative’s acquisition of a 50% interest in a milk processing and distribution joint venture from Parmalat Australia and divestment of a chilled distribution business to Fonterra with a long term supply agreeement;
Acquisitions and divestments on behalf of Aronui Feedlots, ABW Tools, Cotton Seed Distributors, Gazal, Reckitt Benckiser and The Stanley Works; and
Takeover defences for ARC Energy, Ramu Agri Industries and Roma Petroleum.
Prior to joining Origin, Peter held a senior position at Deloitte Corporate Finance.

Peter has also advised a number of other clients including Alice Springs Pastoral Company, AusBulk, Bulmer Australia, CSR Sugar/ Sucrogen, Gazal Corporation, Grain Growers Association, Holcim, Novus Petroleum, Pan Pacific Petroleum, Queensland Cotton, St Vincents Health Australia and Wolseley Private Equity.
